The Hunt family committed $250,000 to support the new Baptist Health Care campus at Brent Lane and I-110.
The family has a long-standing history with Baptist. Ann Hunt served as a volunteer in the Baptist Women’s Center for 25 years. Her husband, William, was a Foundation board member and served during the mid-1980s when Gulf Breeze Hospital was built. All six of their daughters were born at Baptist Hospital. Two of their daughters also became volunteers at Baptist while in high school, and one of their grandchildren was born at Baptist Hospital.
Being a part of Baptist is truly “a family affair and a part of who we are,” said Pamela Hunt Caddell, who has served on the Foundation board since 2002, currently as vice chair. “We value Baptist so much because they care about their team members and those they serve, and we do too. Our family shares the same philosophy – without people and our community, we are nothing. They give us a purpose in life.”
Upon learning about plans for a new health campus, Ann knew she wanted to honor her special years as a volunteer by making a family gift to support the Family Birth Center on the new campus.
“The Hunt family’s generosity and trust in Baptist is humbling,” said Mark Faulkner, president and CEO of Baptist Health Care. “We are grateful for their dedication to our community and for providing this inspirational gift to our organization.”
