The City of Pensacola’s annual Neighborhood Challenge Grant Program is now accepting applications for the fiscal year 2017-2018 grant cycle, officials announced Friday.

Under the program, neighborhoods are able to receive grants of up to $10,000 to fund initiatives including beautification projects, signage, sidewalks, or other improvements. Match requirements can be fulfilled using cash, in-kind contributions, volunteer labor, or any combination of the three. A total of $49,900 in total funding is available this year.

Interested neighborhoods can visit the city website or contact Leslie Statler in Planning Services via email at or via phone at (850) 435-1670. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018.
