Charlotte, N.C.-based Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits has confirmed plans to open one or more restaurants in the Pensacola market as part of an expansion across North Florida.

The company announced plans earlier this year to open its first store in the Mobile, Ala. area in 2018. Franchisee Angle, Inc. now plans to operate multiple Bojangles stores in the Mobile/Pensacola area. Three additional franchisees announced Friday plan to build Bojangles’ restaurants in the Panama City, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Daytona Beach markets over the coming years.

Company officials couldn’t say when the first Pensacola store might open.

“Each of these development agreements align perfectly with our brand’s strategy for franchisees to lead expansion into new and adjacent markets,” says Randy Icard, Bojangles’ Vice President of Franchise Development. “These existing and new franchise organizations share our commitment to growing our brand the right way, providing great tasting, freshly-made food at an exceptional value to thousands of Bojangles’ fans across this region.”

Founded in 1977, Bojangles currently operates more than 700 stores in 11 states and the District of Columbia. The chain is known for its never frozen, hand-breaded fried chicken, biscuits that are made from scratch every 20 minutes, and all-day breakfast menu.
