Not-for-profit Farm Share has partnered with state senator Greg Evers and state representative Doug Broxson to sponsor a disaster relief food distribution in Century, Fla. following the tornado that struck the community earlier this week.

An EF-3 tornado touched down in the area during heavy storms Monday night, destroying 30 homes and other structures.

The food distribution will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2016, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Century Community Center. The center is located at 6001-A Industrial Boulevard in Century.

Families in need will be given food and supply bags free of charge from Farm Share. Each household will receive a variety of fresh produce, canned & dried food, water, juice, paper products, and other needed essentials. Supplies are very limited and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis to tornado victims.

Farm Share is a non-profit organization working to alleviate hunger and malnutrition by recovering fresh and nutritious food and distributing it to those who need it most.
